The quality of ATE drums is characterized by the fact that we let the system competence from series production flow into their development. You can rely on a proven high quality standard applied worldwide.

Close dimensional tolerances ensure a high degree of accuracy, for example. The cylindricity (deviation of friction surface diameter from the theoretical cylindrical ideal) is max. 5/100 mm.

The ATE drums are made exclusively of high-grade cast iron with a homogeneous microstructure.

Important functional dimensions are completely verified in production. These include friction surface diameter, axle mounting diameter, etc.

Quick run-in of the drums is ensured by the optimum surface roughness; good thermal conductivity makes for stable friction coefficients.

The ATE drum permits problem-free fitting during installation.  It has no sharp edges, reducing the danger of injury.  Fitting instructions are included.

Trademark, part number, coded batch number, and manufacturing date are stamped into the brake drum. The product itself is unmistakably and permanently identifiable by standardized imprints.

The ATE drum range is distinguished by the fact that it covers most vehicle models and is up-to-date. In 2007 the regular drum range was extended by the ATE drum kit range with around 20 new part numbers. A kit is comprised of the brake drum with OE quality preassembled wheel bearings, accessories, and fitting instructions.
