Tip No. 1: Do you know how long your next stopping distance will be?

previous12345678910next

Doubling your speed effectively means you'll be quadrupling your braking distance. The stopping distance comprises the braking distance plus the reaction time of the driver (approx. 1s). Apart from other factors the stopping distance is dependent on the conditions of the brake system and the road. Rain, snow and ice increase this distance.

Driving at an appropriate speed is the best method for ensuring safe braking. And using Original ATE brake parts for repairs will ensure a proper functioning of the brake system.
