This begins with the annual employee performance meetings during which, in conversation with your superior, you commit yourself to your very own development plan. And it continues, for instance, with our “cross moves” initiative with which we promote an understanding for the different fields, functions and cultures. Continental has developed programs for different target groups aimed at promoting high-potential employees. Juniors Managing Programs (JUMP) Target Group: Well performing employees with 2-5 years of work experience Target: Handling of cross-functional projects in small project teams (e.g. about profit & growth, social responsibility, research as basis for management decisions) Systematically supporting and developing young employees from an early stage Developing skills how to lead oneself most efficiently Getting first experience in cross-functional project work Building a local network among young employees Leadership Entry Program (LEP) Target Group: Employees who will have leadership responsibility within the next 6 months or have had leadership responsibility during the last 2 years Target: Prepare potential leaders for their future tasks Strengthen social competencies and leadership skills Develop a common and consistent understanding of leading people
International Management Program (IMP) Target Group: Employees with potential for a General Management career Employees with outstanding track records and proficient English knowledge Target: Broadening perspective from functional to general, local to global and company-specific to corporate wide/cross divisional Developing individual talents and enhancing managerial skills Applying new methods for analyzing and solving complex problems
