From 17th to 21st, October, 2011, the final competition of the second Formula Student China was held in Shanghai. After nearly one year of careful preparation, the 33 participating teams met at Shanghai International Carting Circuit.  Being again one of the official sponsors, Continental supported the teams from Jilin University, Tianjin University, Tongji University and the organizer, the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) China.

To enhance our image as an attractive employer, Continental set up an impressively branded “Continental Lounge” with diversified activities including free car racing games and a football game. Moreover, career opportunities at Continental were introduced on site for students. It is estimated that the lounge attracted more than 1000 visitors. “As one of the leading international automotive suppliers, Continental is continuously looking for motivated, new talents. Formula Student China offers a great platform where we can meet ambitious, ‘auto-motivated’ students with both a solid academic background and practical experience in the automotive field. Thanks to Continental’s great efforts, high passion and strong commitment, Continental was awarded by the SAE China with the “2011 Formula Student China Contribution Award”.
