General Tire ‘Unleashes the Fury’ With All New Grabber® Competition Tires – General Tire will ‘unleash the fury’ in off-road competitive performance with its all-new Grabber® competition tires. The new tires will prove theirmettle as General Tire powers into SCORE and the 2008 Baja 500. General Tire engineers designed the Grabber with a tough, three-ply Duragen-reinforced body construction, to stand up to the rigors of off-road conditions. The tires also feature a newly-developed competition-specific tread compound. General has developed two distinct tread designs for different types of competitive conditions. In addition, the Grabber name and General Tire logo are prominently featured on the sidewall in red and white letters. “Our initial testing of the Grabber competition tires has gone exceedingly well. These tires simply grab the dirt and won’t let go,” said Travis Roffler, Director of Marketing, CTNA. “We will continue to refine and develop the Grabber until its official launch at the 2008 Baja 500, but we are confident that these tires will make the off-road racing community sit up and take notice.” The Grabber competition tires are designed in size 37x 12.50R17 for class 1, 7S, 7 unlimited, 8 and trophy truck.
