MAN grants the award to up to ten suppliers every year, evaluating reliability, efficiency, innovation, technical competence, quality, cost, and logistics. Vehicle development and tyre design are coordinated from the outset to ensure that new products can roll out dead on time. Peter Matzke heads the international original equipment unit in the Truck Tyres Division. He sees the award as rewarding the work of recent years: “We aim to meet the highest standards in everything we do, so of course that includes satisfied original equipment customers.
